Shaun the Sheep is a British TV-series computer animated by means of stop motion from Aardman Animations. It has been broadcast individually in Germany on Kika as well as on ARD since April, 2007 as part of with "Sendung mit der Maus". In Austria, the station ORF 1 has shown the series since end of May, 2007. The sheep Shaun first appears in an episode of Wallace & Gromit in which he is mistakenly shorn bald. The English shorn ("shorn") is a dig at his name. On Sunday 18th October, 2009 work on the filming of the new episodes was reported in "Sendung mit der Maus". At the end of this broadcast a new episode was shown for the first time. The new episodes were shown on Kika at 18.00 from Monday 19th October, 2009.
