Shades is an exciting animation series based on the Silverwing Trilogy by the Canadian author Kenneth Oppel. He published his first book at the age of 18 after Roald Dahl had discovered him. His books have often won awards. The series deals with a young silver-wing bat. A long time ago there were fights between the land animals and the birds. The bats, who thought they had something of both species, were outlawed and banished into the night. Shade, however, a young silver-wing bat does not obey and is caught flying in the daytime.
