The Rescuers Down Under is a cartoon from the Walt Disney Studios from the year 1990. It is based on the characters in the series of children’s books of the same name by the English author Margery Sharp. The film is also the continuation of the first Sharp screen adaptation, The Rescuers. The film was the first cartoon film to be completely coloured by computer. Although, when it came out, The Rescuers Down Under was a failure at the box office with losses of some 28 million US dollars.
