Looking for a great twist on the usually boring mini golf genre of flash games? Wonderputt, puts aside any previous stereotypes and creates a truly artistic representation of a minigolf game. It may not look like much, being only one single screen that you see and that's it but start playing and you will see the screen transform. This is where the artistic representation really comes into play. You are presented with this quite well done, three dimensional cityscape almost, consisting of a city, farm, observatory, etc. Then everything changes. Your first hole is in the craters of a meteor shower which destroys the observatory. You then move on to the farm where cows are being abducted by aliens. The game really strives to push the fantasy limits to create a great and compelling storyline minigolf experience. In terms of actual golfing gameplay the game does fine. The putting controls are quite simple; Click the ball, pull back for power, click again to release. And the course designs were spectacular and very inventive. From having to skip your ball across a pond to utilizing elevators and Stonehenge teleporters. The only issue I really do have with it is there is no real zoom in button or tilt to really get a sense of where you are and how to position your shots perfect. For the most part you have to take shots from zoomed out and sometimes totally blind. Overall, I think that Wonderputt is a great example of a minigolf game which utilizes great features while being a graphical work of art.
