The Honda Transalp is a motorcycle by Japanese vehicle manufacturer Honda. It is an Enduro developed specifically for trips, therefore the name Transalp. Since 1987 it has been produced in different models - with a water-cooled motor as well as with a two cylinder and four valve V-engine. In 1985 the first prototype was designed; an off-the-road motorbike with a 500 ccm volume engine. For its introduction onto the motorcycle-market, its capacity was increased to 600 ccm. Its driving qualities and suspension were also improved to become more street-efficient.
